- Caring Fellowship
- Relevant Education
so that they may know, and grow in, his love.
2015 will be our fifth year of Visual Arts Camp at Christ, and our first to offer a fifth day. Aspiring artists will investigate 2D & 3D media, imagine, and improve, and be inspired – all at the same low cost for supplies of $50 per camper per week. The CREATE Week 1 camp will be Monday-Friday, July 6-10 for those just finishing K-5th Grade. The EXPRESS Week 2 camp will be Monday-Friday, July 27-31 for those just finishing 4th-8th Grade. Both weeks will be from 9 am – 12 noon. The daily themes will be Monday – Draw, Tuesday – Sculpt, Wednesday – Paint, and Thursday – Collaborate. On Friday, campers will finish projects and present a Visual A.R.T.S (Artists Recognized 4 Their Superlatives) Program.
Our study of preparing to be “Battle Ready” continues on Tuesday, March 3rd at 7:30 pm in Christ’s Workshop. As always we’ll begin with a battle-theme video clip.
On Saturday, March 21, we will sort and package donations at the Capital Area Food Bank (8201 South Congress Avenue) from 9 am – 12 noon. Volunteering in Product Recovery at the Capital Area Food Bank is a wonderful way to get to know others within our Church family at Christ and to grow in loving service to our community. Volunteers must be 8 and older; maximum of 12 volunteers.
Families, we look forward to your presence at our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Christ on Easter Sunday, April 5 from 9:45-10:15 am. We’ll gather in the Fellowship Hall for a devotion and instructions, then walk over to the Christ’s Workshop to watch our infants through 5th Graders search for the hidden treasures nestled on the playscape and around the yard. Please sign up your child(ren) by Palm Sunday, March 29, to participate, to help us plan for how many eggs to prepare with treats and trinkets.
