At Kingdom Quest for Kids (age 3 – Grade 5) we take a “Journey with Jesus” throughout the year, week by week growing together as disciples of Christ. On Valentine’s Day, Sunday, February 14, at 9:30 am, we’d love for your family to gather with us for some food, fun, and fellowship around our theme for February – “Jesus Loves Me.” Our children’s message later that morning during 10:45 worship will be an artistic expression of the song “Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Loves Me” that our children have been learning. The Story for Teens is currently reading through the Apostle Paul’s words to the Romans, and reflecting upon the signposts on the Road to Salvation.
There were “women who cared deeply enough to follow Jesus all the way from Galilee to Judea and to stay with Him as He died.” All women are invited to a gathering of the Eunice Guild on Tuesday, February 16, at 12:00 noon in Rooms 7/8 to study what the Holy Spirit working through the Word is teaching us as we observe these women. If you like, bring your favorite study Bible to use in this special Lenten time together as Women of Christ.
On Saturday, February 27 from 7:30-10:00 am we will set-up and staff the Capital Area Food Bank’s mobile food pantry distribution at Givens Recreation Center (3811 E. 12th St., 78721). On Saturday, March 5 from 9-12 am we will help with Anniversary Salebration activities at Hope Thrift Center (1122 East 51st Street, 78723), a program that helps provides support for disaster survivors and families through Austin Disaster Relief Network. On Sunday, March 6 at 12 noon after 10:45 service, we’ll meet to game plan drawing, sculpting, painting, and collaborative activities for our art camps June 27-July 1 and July 25-29. Please contact Jordan for details on how to get involved in these unique opportunities for loving service.
Our CREATE art camp will be Monday-Friday, June 27-July 1 for those just finishing K-5th Grade. Our EXPRESS art camp will be Monday-Friday, July 25-29 for those just finishing 6th-9th Grade. ‘We’ll Draw Monday’, ‘Sculpt Tuesday’, ‘Paint Wednesday’, and ‘Collaborate Thursday’. On Friday, participants will finish art projects and present a Visual A.R.T.S. (Artists Recognized 4 Their Superlatives) Program. Each art camp will meet at the Christ’s Workshop from 9:00 am – 12 noon. Registration forms are available through the Church Office and here.
