“Caring Fellowship: At Christ We Are One Church Family” is the fourth of four videos that highlight each area of the mission statement of Christ Lutheran Church.
The mission of Christ Lutheran Church is to connect people to Jesus through:
so that they might know, and grow in, His love.
This summer’s sermon series began on Sunday, June 5 and runs through September 4th. It is entitled: “The Most Dangerous Sermon Ever Preached”, and it will take a look at a different piece of Jesus’ famed “Sermon on the Mount” each week. Today, and over the next 11 Sundays we will discover the thoroughly radical nature of Jesus’ sermon and why it was dangerous – dangerous for Jesus to preach and dangerous for us to follow.
We’d love for your family to grow with us this summer during Vacation Bible School as we take a cross-cultural tour of the country of Norway. This is an opportunity on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am from May 29 – August 28 for children age 3 – Grade 5 to experience God’s eternal love for the world. We’ll run with reindeer and be reminded that God is good! The children will experience Norway, eat Nordic food, enjoy fjord fun and games, and engage in Bible adventures, and sing songs and support a mission project. Partner with Heifer International for service learning and to help end hunger and poverty around the world. Please contact Jordan to get your family involved in going on this journey with Jesus to the tip top of the world.
Throughout the month of June, we will have a food drive for Bread for All. Please bring your items to Church on or before June 26th so that they can be taken to Bread for All on June 27. While all food items are needed those that seem to be in short supply are Ramen Noodles, other canned soups, cereals, peanut butter, boxed milk and personal items such as tooth paste and soap. Also, if anyone has time on Monday afternoons, from about 1 pm to 3 pm, to help with the pick-up and delivery of food from Capital Area Food Bank, please contact the Church Office. It requires someone who can lift heavy boxes and also have a pick-up or van to haul items.
Our CREATE art camp will be Monday-Friday, June 27-July 1 for those just finishing K-5th Grade; registration is closed.
