Pastor - John C. Stennfeld
John C. Stennfeld [jcs442@hotmail.com], the pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, is a 1989 M. Div. graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. He did his undergraduate work at Concordia College, River Forest, Illinois, receiving his B.A. in 1985 with a major in philosophy and a minor in Biblical languages. Upon graduation from the Seminary, Pastor John was ordained into his first call as pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, San Francisco, California. He served there until January of 2000, when he assumed the pastorate at Christ Lutheran Church, Austin, Texas.
Pastor John is married and has three daughters–Trinity (and husband Stephen Becker), Divina, and Micah. His wife, Pachalin, is a native of Thailand. The couple has been happily married since 1989.
When not involved in his pastoral duties, Pastor John can usually be found playing pickleball; he also enjoys working out at the gym, tennis, kayaking, and spending time with his family.
Pastor John is also an avid traveler, traveling as much as his schedule will allow, and a prolific writer, having written hundreds of hymns and songs, many of which can be viewed on his hymn website, https://www.singingthruthescriptures.com/ or listened to at https://www.youtube.com/@revstenny

Minister of Creative Communications and Community Connections – Jordan Boessling
Jordan [jordan@christaustin.org] has served at Christ Lutheran since August of 2007. He originally started out in the area of family life ministry but as of August 2009 transitioned into his new role as the Minister of Creative Communications and Community Connections, or the (MCC squared) as we like to call him. His primary areas of responsibility are Sunday worship media/live streaming, children’s/midweek discipleship classes, collection drives and service opportunities, Christ’s Workshop, the website, visual arts projects, and helping with property management.
Jordan was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2003. He went on to receive his D.C.E. certification in 2009 from Concordia University Texas, and his Master of Arts in Theology from Concordia Seminary St. Louis in 2011.
Jordan is an avid sports fan, having played baseball in both high school and college. He also has helped coach at various levels, and has volunteered in various capacities with RBI Austin since 2011. His other interests include home improvement projects, reading, traveling, painting, and enjoying the great outdoors including hiking and horseback riding. Jordan is married to his wife Kristen. They were married by Pastor John on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
Jordan’s personal mission statement is the words of II Corinthians 2:2:
“For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”
