Jesus is The Way (John 14:6)

Dear Heavenly Father, giver of every good and perfect gift, thank you for sending us the greatest gift of all, Your Son, Jesus, born on Christmas Day.  We believe Jesus when He says, “I am The Way, The Truth and The Life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.” In Jesus name, Amen.


Jesus is A Star (Numbers 24:17)

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to see your Star, Jesus, shining brightly in the dark night, pointing us to You. In the Bible, Your letter to us, the prophet Isaiah wrote about the promise of Your Son;  “I see him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near.  A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise of Israel.” In Jesus name, Amen.


Jesus is A Light (Psalm 119:105; Luke 2:30-32)

Dear Heavenly Father, just like Simeon waited to see His Savior, the Light of Your Salvation, we pray, Come, Oh come Emmanuel, give us eyes to see you as the Light of our eternal salvation until you return and we see you face to face. In Jesus name, Amen.

See the baby Jesus, held in Mary’s arms (cradle arms).

See the baby Jesus, star high overhead (extend arms high).

See the baby Jesus, manger for a bed (palms of hands together; lay cheek on hands).

See the boy Jesus, little child like me (point to self).

See the boy Jesus, fishing in the sea (hands together, casting out fishing line).

See the boy Jesus; see him running there (one palm flat, other hand “running” on palm).

Jesus is The Beginning (Colossians 1:15-18)

Dear Heavenly Father, we praise You and acknowledge You, O God, to be the Lord, The Father everlasting, by all the earth adored. You Christ, are King of Glory, the everlasting Son. Yet You, with boundless love, sought to rescue everyone. In Jesus name, Amen.


Jesus is A Glorious Throne (Isaiah 22:23; Hebrews 4:16)

Dear Heavenly Father, Your Anointed One, Jesus Christ shall be seated in glory at Your right hand. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. In Jesus name, Amen.


Jesus is That Worthy Name (James 2:7; Revelation 5:12; Philippians 2:9-11)

Dear Heavenly Father, worthy is the Name of Jesus, Your Son our Savior. Your Word tells us, “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!  And that God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” In Jesus name, Amen.


Jesus is Your Resting Place (Jeremiah 50:6; Matthew 11:25-30)

Dear Heavenly Father, give us peace from all the anxieties of this hustle bustle life.  Help to find a resting place in and the comfort of Your words, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” In Jesus name, Amen.
