Bread For All – As the holidays approach, we have an opportunity to provide Bread for All Food Pantry with some items that they cannot get from Central Texas Food Bank. Bread For All could really utilize corn meal, sugar, flour, oil, spices (salt, cinnamon), cake mixes and icing. Please bring in these items (and any other nonperishable food donations for Bread For All) by Sunday, November 7 to the red bin located in the narthex. Bread For All continues to share food with our neighbors on Mondays from 5:00-6:30 pm at 1314 East Oltorf.

Altar Flowers – We have received notice from Ben White Florist that as of November 1, 2021, weekly altar arrangements will be increased to $50 per arrangement. Also, October 31 is still available if you would like to sign up.

Contribution Statements Emailed – If the church office has your email on file and is connected to your contribution record, then you should have received an email Monday, Oct. 11th describing your contributions from Jan – Sep 2021. If you think you get emails from the church office but did not receive this contribution email, it could be we need to make an adjustment on your church record. Please let Michael Zieschang or the church office aware of this issue. If you see any discrepancy in your statement, please investigate now and let the Financial Secretary aware of the issue. We want the year-end statements to be as clear and correct as possible.

Men’s Discipleship Study Fall 2021 – Will meet on the First Tuesday of each month through May 2022. We’ll continue on Tuesday, November 2nd, at 7:30 pm in-person in the Christ’s Workshop. Our topic will be the CPH book and FaithCourse “Callings for Life: God’s Plan, Your Purpose” by Jeffery Leininger. If you wish to order the book (optional) on your own, and read about the sessions ahead of time, please go to cph.org. We are studying the book of Philippians. Financial Stewardship at Christ

Weekly/monthly offerings at Christ may be placed in the offering plates located by the sanctuary entrance doors, mailed in via U.S.P.S., or given through the online portal (“Online Giving”) accessed through our website at www.Christaustin.org. Thank you for your continued stewardship of God’s blessings and for your support of our ministry here at Christ.

Online Giving

A word of thanks to all of you for your continued support of our ministry here at Christ Lutheran Church, and a special note of thanks to all of you who have chosen to give online through our website with the Vanco portal.  In a time of less volunteerism due to Covid-19 and such, the online giving is less cumbersome and more streamlined for our Financial Secretary to manage.  That being said, we would ask those of you giving through this online way to consider giving through your bank accounts (savings or checking) as opposed to using a credit/debit card.  We are charged a 2.75% transaction fee whenever a credit/debit card is used, and while that may not seem like a lot for a $25 offering ($0.69 fee), for a $500 offering ($13.75 fee) those fees become quite significant.  Again, we are grateful for any and all offerings and gifts to Christ Lutheran, but in order to be the best stewards of what God has entrusted to us we do kindly ask all of you credit/debit card givers to consider using one of your bank accounts instead.  Thank you.
