Volunteer Opportunities Around Austin

Austin Animal Center – We’ve walked dogs around the center to ensure them with exercise and enrichment.

Austin Police Operation Blue Santa – We’ve helped wrap presents for children in need.

Blood and Tissue Center – We’ve arranged for the Blood Mobile to come to our neighborhood.

BookSpring – We’ve sorted and labeled books for Books4Me Reading is FUNdamental.

Caritas of Austin – We’ve prepared and served meals to those in need.

Central Texas Food Bank – We’ve helped in the Product Recovery distribution warehouse, and assisted at one of the Mobile Food Pantry sites.

Down Home Ranch – We’ve formed an assembly line from greenhouse to greenhouse to plant flowers in pots for the spring.

Ecology Action of Texas – We’ve lent a hand to, and learned more about, recycling resources by material.

Genesis Gardens – We’ve helped Community First! Village to develop a farm/food forest through sustainable agriculture projects.

Goodwill Greenworks – We’ve de-manufactured donated computers for resell or recycle.

Graffiti Abatement Program – We’ve painted over and removed graffiti in the City of Austin.

Habitat for Humanity – We’ve participated in new home builds, and helped install shingles for a roof repair.

Hope Family Thrift Store – We’ve partnered with Austin Disaster Relief Network’s thrift store to provide support to families affected by disasters.

Keep Austin Beautiful – We’ve helped with community beautification/cleanup projects at local parks.

Marbridge House – We’ve spent time engaging residents in arts and crafts activities opportunities to Learn, Experience, and Achieve A Whole New Life.

Partnerships for Children – We’ve helped with preparations for the Holiday Wishes program.

Project Linus – We’ve made fleece blankets for children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.

Texas Ramp Project – We’ve helped build ramps at the homes of elderly and disabled people who cannot afford them on their own.

TreeFolks – We’ve planted trees in nearby Little Stacy Park, a recreational area along Blunn Creek in Historic Travis Heights.

Trinity Center – We’ve led a worship service and helped host a meal for our neighbors in downtown Austin.
