Pastor – John Stennfeld

John C. Stennfeld [], the pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, is a 1989 M. Div. graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. He did his undergraduate work at Concordia College, River Forest, Illinois, receiving his B.A. in 1985 with a major in philosophy and a minor in Biblical languages. Upon graduation from the Seminary, Pastor John was ordained into his first call as pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, San Francisco, California. He served there until January of 2000, when he assumed the pastorate at Christ Lutheran Church, Austin, Texas.

Pastor John is married and has three daughters–Trinity, Divina, and Micah. His wife, Pachalin, is a native of Thailand. The couple has been happily married since 1989.

When not involved in his pastoral duties Pastor John can be found playing tennis, racketball, working out at the gym, running, or kayaking one of the many lakes or rivers around Texas. He also loves to travel, loves adventure, loves to write, and loves to explore and experience the various cultures and people of the world and loves to spend time being active with his family.

Pastor John’s personal mission statement is:

“My purpose is to glorify God by challenging and instructing others to help them grow toward their fullest God-given potential.”

Minister of Creative Communications and Community Connections – Jordan Boessling

Jordan [] has served at Christ Lutheran since August of 2007. He originally started out in the area of family life ministry but has now transitioned into his new role as the Minister of Creative Communications and Community Connections, or the (MCC squared) as we like to call him. His primary areas of responsibility are: Sunday worship media, Children’s messages, Kingdom Quest Sunday School, Service projects and Mission trips, Christ’s Workshop, and the website.

Jordan was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2003 and completed course work for a Masters from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He went on to receive his D.C.E. certification in 2009 from Concordia University Texas.

Jordan is an avid sports fan, having played baseball in both high school and college. He also has helped coach at various levels. His other interests include home improvement projects, reading, traveling, painting, and enjoying the great outdoors. Jordan is married to his wife Kristen. They were married by Pastor John on Sunday, April 18, 2021.

Jordan’s personal mission statement is the words of II Corinthians 2:2:

“For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”
