This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4: 10-11. NIV

Activities and News
Easter Lilies and Hydrangeas – It’s time to order lilies and hydrangeas for Easter. If you would like to place an order, please fill out a pre-printed envelope (located in the narthex), include $7.50 for a lily or $12.00 for a hydrangea, and place it in the offering plate. All monies need to be turned in by Sunday, March 28th.
The Newsletter deadline is Wednesday, Mar. 17th. Please have all information into the office by that day. Thanks!
Guest Preacher – Dr. Joel Heck of Concordia University will lead us in worship next week as Pastor John takes the spring break week off to spend time with his family.
Women’s Retreat – Please mark these dates, April 23rd – 24th, on your calendar now for the annual Christ Lutheran Church Women’s Retreat. It will once again be held at Camp Lone Star. This is an excellent opportunity for the ladies of Christ to fellowship around God’s Word and for our newer members to form new connections. Stay tuned for more details to come.
Feed My Lambs – The sack lunch program is in need of donations, especially Vienna sausage, pre-maid tuna fish and chicken salad, fruit cups, apple sauce, and chips. Thank you to all who donate and help to serve our homeless community.
Lenten Lunch Schedule – Soup and salad will be served immediately following the noon Lenten worship services. The following is the schedule: Mar. 10th – chicken dumpling soup; Mar. 17th – vegetable soup; and Mar. 24th – potato soup.
Community Connections - Build a wheelchair ramp through Texas Ramp Project on Saturday, March 13th from 8 am – 12 noon. Please contact Jordan to find out details and to sign up to serve.
Use of Pew Envelopes: If you use an envelope from the back of the pew for your offering, please be sure to print your name on the envelope so that it can be properly recorded.
FOOD DRIVE: Please notice our food barrel in the narthex. Each week as you prepare to come feed upon the bounty of God’s word remember that there are many struggling to put food on their tables. As you are able and blessed by God, please bring along to worship a non-perishable food item and place it into the barrel. This food is given to one of the food banks for distribution. Through this simple regular practice we can do much to help those in their time of need. “For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat ...” Jesus.
Remember to keep supporting the youth group through the use of the Randall's Remarkable Card. Our identification number is #4162.
